White Cabinet Makeover

Yay!  I worked on some projects this weekend!  We are really trying to tackle the pile in the garage;  well um I think the pile belongs to me!  Guess I better get on it, huh?

A couple of weeks ago I made a trip to my Dad's house.  He has 80 acres with all these fun little outbuildings, of course I had to bring home some treasures!  That is where I found this little guy.
It was in a building that my Dad never goes in, just hanging out!  The drawers wouldn't open (no matter how hard we pulled on them) but those little glass knobs were calling to me.  So it has been sitting in our garage for the last couple of weeks.  Miraculously as I was messing around out there this weekend I pulled on the drawer...and it opened!  I grabbed some soapy water and got to scrubbing!  Then came my all time favorite; the sander!  I had to get some enforcement to get the knobs off.  They were attached with washers in the back that were completely rusted.  Sadly the only way to get them off was to break them off....yep you guessed it, they were glass!!  Uggg, made me sad!

Once the sanding was done I took some Watco Danish Oil in Natural and rubbed it all over the areas where the wood was showing.
Then I found some hardware that I had pulled off some of my other projects.  These pulls seemed to fit, do you like them?
Well...notice this is sitting in my house....Do you think I need to keep it?  I was thinking it would make a cute little work station, maybe for my laptop?

Hopefully I didn't picture overload you!  I better run and get ready for work (I am always running late)!

Farm Chicks Part 2!

I almost forgot I was going to post the rest of our pictures from our Farm Chicks trip!  Are you ready for more fun inspiration?
Everyone will probably yell at me because I have no idea what these are; but I thought they would be so cute on a mantle for summer! (yep another sold pile; sigh)
These are for sure on my project to do list!  Old barb wire stars!  I didn't get to meet the owners of this booth; but I really loved the decorating and style of the entire thing; so cute!

These little birds (not the best picture!) are made out of book pages!  Love the old barn wood and the book page art combination...pretty clever!
Pretty cute re-styled strawberry planter!  I think this is an old chicken feeder bottom!
How creative is this?  All scrap moldings made into a cute tree!  I want one!
Adorable pillows are everywhere, but I particularly loved this scrap edge pillow.
I really thought this would be so cute in my sons room.  This booth had a stack of these signs and they were flying out of there!
I have seen salvaged yard ornaments before but these were especially cute with the rocks, dontcha think?
This was my reminder to myself to make a piece of furniture with the medic cross, super cute!
Just another sign that I thought was so cool.  Simple yet fun.
I had never seen this idea before!  Take an old quilt (obviously not an heirloom!) and re-upholster with it!
I thought these plates were adorable!  All hand painted by the nicest lady ever!
Aren't these mason jar lights so cute?  These were especially well done; they had big bulbs in the jars.
Another hand painted table that was Oh So Fabulous!
 Very cute globe lights eh?

Fabric banner love!
These dressers were drool worthy!
Yep another display idea!

Isn't this adorable?  Burlap scrap stool!

 On the "to-do" list!

Cute coat rack with branch pegs!
Have a great day all!  I have been dragged away from my blog lately!  Camping with the family last weekend (totally fun), then home to a broken dryer (and you guessed it all the camping clothes).  I can't win I tell ya!

Road Trip Farm Chick Show!

What do two crazy Moms do for fun...road trip to an awesome antique/junk show...with a 1 year old!!  Did I mention it is a SIX hour drive?!?
We just hopped in our ride and we were off!  Totally kidding..this isn't ours but it is so cool, right?  We really would have looked good driving this, and um maybe we wouldn't have been swore at, honked at, and waved at with the wrong finger so many times!
Thankfully we made it there and home safe!  Our drive would have been great minus the screaming child for the last hour or so!  Buy hey, when his face is this cute I forgive easily, lol!
How fun is this recycled wire basket!
I was in love with this painted table.
Succulents were planted up everywhere!  I love how creative everyone gets!  This old mailbox would be adorable on my porch!
I would have loved to take this beauty home!  I love buffets this shape, and that color is A-mazing!
How fun is this rusty star?  I am not quite sure what the pieces are from, but I loved it.
Amanda spotted this apron and sported it throughout the booth.  People were wanting to buy it right off of her.  Wouldn't you totally wear it as a top?  We both thought it would be so fun!
How cute is this re-purposed towel holder?  I think I may need to make a few of these.
I just loved this color combination on this hutch.  This booth was swamped!  In the back they had those wooden crates completely stacked to the ceiling on Saturday, thankfully I could snap a picture at least on Sunday!
Isn't this the cutest display idea?  I loved the lace tablecloths as the backdrop in this booth!  These ladies were super sweet, they were a three generation team (grandma, daughter, and grand-daughter)!
These architectural salvage pieces were so fun!
Talent was everywhere!  Loved the painting on old book pages!

Well hopefully you enjoyed a bit from our trip!  I still have more pictures to run through and then I will share them with you all!  Come back and check them out!

I really enjoyed the show; if you want more information check out this link FARM CHICKS.  Super worth the trip!
